This was one of my very first major publication projects I completed at RMIT.
The project was rather daunting: we were tasked as a whole student year-level to design an event. We landed on the idea of a communal fruit salad that we would enjoy together in a lunch event. It was up to each individual student to find their place in this project and that's where I found myself collaborating with a fellow student to develop a book that documented the design project.
We had set ourselves apart from the other unique sub-projects. While others were designing utensils, way-finding elements, presentations and invitations, menus, as well as souvenirs, I spent a majority of the project interviewing students and photo-documenting every class session we had.
It was only after the event, close to the end of the semester, that I was able to work on composing the pages of the book and sought to use Blurb's book production services.
My collaborator helped in preparing the content but the image-making, photography, and page compositions were done by myself.
